The Julia’s Wings Foundation

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded by The Malsin Family after their daughter Julia and big sister to Alyssa, passed away from aplastic anemia in Jan 2012. Julia was only 13 years old. The Julia’s Wings Foundation mission is two-fold. The first emphasis is on carrying out Julia’s Wish with the goal of providing financial assistance to families of children with aplastic anemia so they don’t have to suffer through their disease alone.

The unfortunate reality is that aplastic anemia is a hematological disease and hospitals do not have the financial resources to assist these families. The second emphasis is on providing funding to medical professionals performing research on developments in and cures for this disease and its related conditions. Our Hope is with continued research, one child’s life may be saved and one Mom, Dad, Sister and family won’t have to endure the pain and suffering that aplastic anemia brought into our lives.

We are so excited and honored to have our 7th Annual Team Julia’s Wings at the 2019 Kent Pumpkin Run! Last year we had over 200 participants and raised over $20,000! Please consider joining Team Julia’s Wings and help us Be the Change for Julia. 100% of the money raised will go towards providing financial assistance to families of children battling aplastic anemia and medical research.
