A MESSAGE FROM DAVE DUNLEAVY, RACE DIRECTOR:
Thank you to all who registered for this year’s virtual Kent Pumpkin Run. Without you we wouldn’t have been able to continue our record of 44 consecutive years of running this popular community event. And an even bigger thanks to all the sponsors who supported us. Also, without you, this year’s event wouldn’t have been possible. We also greatly appreciate all of the donations to the Kent Food Bank!

KENT PUMPKIN RUN A VIRTUAL GO!!!
Hey, it can be scary out there but we didn’t let COVID-19 take us down! The 44th edition of the Kent Pumpkin Run took place this October to registrants no matter where they are in the world. How cool is that!
This is how the race worked: Registrations for the race were done through Eventbrite from Sept. 8 to NOON on Sunday Oct. 25. Registrants ran (or walked) and submitted their time for the 5 miles on Oct. 22, 23, 24 or 25.
We tabulated the results and overall winners, along with division winners, (see image above) will be mailed cool commemorative Pumpkin Run medals. A prize was also given to the registered runner who is located the furthest from Kent.
Registered runners were mailed a packet of swag, including Halloween goodies and a specially-designed “Run” mask. Unfortunately this year we will not have T-shirts, however, if you would like a top-grade athletic shirt from last year, we are more than happy to have you pick it up at the Heron American Craft Gallery located at 16 North Main Street, Kent CT.
The Heron Gallery will also be accepting canned and dry good donations for the Kent Food Bank. Donations can be put inside a plastic bin located on the back porch of the business when it is not opened. Make it a family afternoon and visit Kent’s many quality shops and restaurants.
The Kent Pumpkin Run is hosted by the Kent Chamber of Commerce which proudly supports local businesses.
Please Support our Sponsors ~ it is only through their generous support that this annual classic can continue to thrive!
44 years and going strong!
Each year the race has had more & more costume-clad runners. This year if you choose to run in costume, please send us a picture of you running in your costume and we’ll post it on our social media pages.
Help Support the Kent Food Bank!
We encourage all participants to bring non-perishable donations to support the great work of our Official Charitable Beneficiary, The Kent Food Bank, as they prepare for their busiest time of year. Donations can be dropped off at the Heron American Craft Gallery (16 North Main Street, Kent) anytime. You can also make a monetary donation when you register for the run via Eventbrite.
Thank You for any support you can give for families in need!
